Southeastern’s freshman outfielder Audrey Greely was named the season’s first Louisiana Sports Writers Association Softball Hitter of the Week, the LSWA announced Tuesday.

During the weekend sweep over Nicholls, Greely finished with an .833 average in 11 plate appearances. In the first two games, she hit her first two collegiate home runs.

She holds a team-high .415 average – fifth in the Southland conference – with 34 hits, third on the team. Greely’s 16 RBIs are also third on the team.

She’s the first Lady Lion to earn Louisiana Hitter of the Week honors since now-senior Madisen Blackford earned the honor on April 8, 2019.
