Dear Editor,

The Daily Star has supported the Fuller Shop in many ways over the years that we have been raising money for the Ginger Ford Housing for the Hammond community in need.

Many times Muggy Talbot wrote about the shop in her column, and Lil Mirando has included comments about the shop in her editorials. Multiple times the newspaper has let us do featured articles about what the shop has to offer the community as it raises funds for housing.

We thank you!

We also want to thank the general public for supporting our efforts by bringing donations to the shop over the years and especially during this past year.

When the pandemic was keeping us house-bound, you started cleaning out your closets, attics and garages and brought treasures to us. As a result we were able to dedicate a home for a mom with four children last May 2020 and start another home. We have been able to refurbish a porch and install wheelchair ramps for those in need thanks to your donations.

We thank you very much for your generosity!!!

— Carol Wood, volunteer at the Fuller Shop, 955 S. Morrison Blvd., Hammond, open Tuesdays through Fridays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
