Sherrell Marie Boutrin Gaupp, age 66, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away at North Oaks Medical Center on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, in Hammond. She was born on Friday, February 19, 1954, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Camille Justin and Dolores Marie Martin Boutrin. Sherrell loved sewing, arts and crafts and antiques, but she especially loved spending time with her family.

Sherrell is survived by her loving husband, Annzel J. Gaupp; her daughters, Patsy Basso, Sandy Laird and her husband Allen and Paula Byrd; her grandchildren, Charles D. Basso, Jr. and his wife Kelsey Broussard, Jake Laird, Bradley Byrd and his wife Jessica, Lyndee Basso, DeLynn Basso, Katelynn Byrd, Joshua Byrd, Jeb Laird and Nathan Byrd; her great grandchildren, Adalynn Basso, Brycon Broussard, Winter Byrd and Allyson Byrd; her brothers, David Boutrin and his wife Mary Ellen, Richard Boutrin and his wife Linda, Mack Boutrin, Robert Boutrin and Gene Boutrin, her sisters, Sharon Tucker and her husband Gary, Sharlene Fogerty and her husband Ronald and Shirley Boutrin; also many nieces, nephews and close friends.

Sherrell was preceded in death by her parents, Camille Justin and Dolores Marie Martin Boutrin; her son-in-law, Justin Byrd; her grandson, Chandler Byrd; and her great grandson, Austin Byrd.

Visitation for Sherrell will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. A Funeral Service Celebrating Sherrell’s Life will immediately follow visitation at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Hammond.

Face masks are now mandatory to attend any visitation or service at the funeral home. Thank you for your cooperation.
