Edna Marie Perrin passed away on March 26, 2021, in Hammond, La., at the age of 95. She was born on May 18, 2025, in Ponchatoula, La., to the late Joseph Eugene Perrin, and the late Manette Ray Perrin. She was a resident of Ponchatoula.

She was a nurse who served in that capacity in the U.S. Army for 20 years. She retired as a Lieutenant Colonel, returning to Ponchatoula to care for her mother and serve in several volunteer roles in the community. She was a friend to everyone in the community.

Edna loved life and everyone she met. She was a world traveler in her Army service and in retirement, usually in the company of devoted friends.

Edna is survived by three nephews and a niece: Keith Adrian Perrin (Cindy Bruce), Joseph Eugene Perrin (Cindy), John Christopher Perrin (Kristen), and Janice Perrin McKee (David); sister-in-law, Sue Hunter Perrin; nine great nieces and great nephews; and a number of great-great nieces and great-great nephews. She is also survived by Sherri Kraft and her family, who provided loving friendship and tireless care to her over the past two decades.

She was preceded in death by her father, the late Joseph Eugene Perrin; mother, Manette Ray Perrin; brothers Joseph Ray Perrin and Patrick Eugene Perrin; and niece Susanna Perrin Merritt.

A memorial gathering is scheduled for Saturday, May 22nd between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the home of Kenny and Sherri Kraft at 14589 Kraft Lane, Ponchatoula, LA 70454.
