Carson Joseph “CJ” Roberts, 83, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 26, 2020, at Belle Maison Retirement Home. He was born on March 1, 1937 to parents Elmo and Marzzlia Roberts.

Carson was drafted to the U.S. Army on July 6, 1960, where he proudly served for two years. He later held a career as a Cherrypicker operator for Nichols Construction Corporation which changed to Sunland Construction where he retired in 1999.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and raising his number of plants and fruit trees.

Carson was preceded in death by his parents, Elmo and Marzzlia Roberts; his brothers, Vernon Roberts, Marshall Roberts Sr., and Dewitt Roberts.

Carson is survived by his wife, Nettie Roberts; children, Vivian Roberts and Kenneth Roberts; grandchildren, Jarred (Paige) Roberts and Jonavon Roberts, great grandchildren Paisley Roberts and Jarred Roberts Jr.; sisters Christine Glover, Aline Guthrie, and Katherline Ballard.

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines services will be held graveside at Ponchatoula Cemetery (date coming soon).

The Family ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Nettie Roberts to help with funeral expenses.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
