Betty Jo, age 86, joined her parents in Heaven on Monday, January 11, 2021. She was a resident of Hammond, LA.

Betty Jo was always the life of the party and absolutely loved to laugh. Anyone who spent time with her knew that she enjoyed cracking jokes and making people laugh. Betty Jo loved her coffee and her ice cream; it was a must have for every day. She made friends with everyone and was truly a one of a kind. Betty Jo left an enormous impact on all who knew her, and she will be forever missed.

Betty Jo is survived by her sisters, Mildred Morse, Wanda Kendrick, Shirley Bailey, Norma Kay Blount, Tannis Gail Bell; brothers, Rev. Lloyd Blount, Charles Ray Blount; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Corilea Blount; sisters, Janice Beyl, Billie Albritton; and brother, Milton Avery Blount.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a graveside service at Sandhill Cemetery on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 2:00 p.m.
