Weather permitting, motorists can expect a lot of soil cement and paving work around Tangipahoa Parish this week, said Tangipaghoa Parish President Robby Miller.
On Monday, the parish contractor was paving North 7th Street, Barringer and Vinyard Trace. Soil cement work took place on Willow, E.A. Hoover, Oak, Robert Blow, and Courtney Earl
The following roadwork is planned for the rest of the week:
TODAY – Continue paving North 7th, Barringer, Vinyard Trace, and Cooper Road. Soil cement work will continue on Willow, E.A. Hoover, Oak, Robert Blow, and Courtney Earl;
WEDNESDAY – Paving will continue on Vinyard Trace and Cooper. Soil cement work is scheduled on Bethel Church Road, Gahn, Wainwright, Magnolia, and Hogan;
THURSDAY – Dressing South Thibodeaux and Hoffman Court. Soil cement work will continue on Bethel Church Road, Gahn, Wainwright, Magnolia, Hogan, and Oscar Starkey;
FRIDAY – Soil cement work is scheduled on Bethel Church Road, Gahn, Wainwright, Magnolia, Hogan, and Oscar Starkey. Dressing on Cassidy and Emerald;
SATURDAY – Paving Professional Plaza.
All work will be posted on the day of construction. Miller said streets that are scheduled for paving and soil cement operations will be closed at the construction site.
The entrance to Pecan Grove Subdivision will be closed for about six hours Thursday as Tangipahoa Parish Road and Bridge crews complete a cross drain replacement project at the intersection of Pecan Grove Drive and LA 445.
No traffic will be allowed to pass through the construction zone from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
This project was previously scheduled for July 29 but was postponed due to heavy rains last week, Miller said.
