Medline has donated $5,000 for the purchase of a children’s train display at the Louisiana Children’s Discovery Center in Hammond.

“The Louisiana Children’s Discovery Center is a community fixture for children and families in Hammond and Tangipahoa Parish,” said Medline Operations Manager Nick Latino, adding that the company is proud to support the center’s educational mission.

The Medline funds will be used exclusively for the design and construction of the new train display, which is expected to be ready by summer.

Louisiana Children’s Discover Center Executive Director Patti Roubique noted the new exhibit will tie in with the historical significance of the railroad in Tangipahoa Parish history.
