Matheu aims to get November mail ballots to voters by Oct. 8


Tangipahoa Registrar of Voters Andi Matheu is processing the mail ballots that will be mailed out for the Nov. 13 election (previously scheduled for Oct. 9).

“We plan to have the November ballots in the mail no later than Oct. 8, 2021,” Registrar Matheu said. “Please be on the lookout and return your voted ballot as soon as possible to avoid any delay in processing.

"Also, be aware the date on the mail ballot will still reflect the October election date. Because there was no change on what is being voted on, there was no reason to have the ballots reprinted”.

The deadline to register to vote in person or by mail is Oct. 13. The deadline to register to vote online is Oct. 23. For more information about elections and voting, contact the Registrar of Voters office at 985.748.3215 or .
