Entergy gets service to 75 percent of local customers

Entergy crews work in Amite. A spokesman said this morning 95 percent of service to customers on Hwy. 16 has been restored.

Entergy has restored service to 75 percent of its customers in Tangipahoa and St. Helena parishes, spokesman David Freese said as of this morning.

"We were able to energize 95 percent of the Amite feeder along Highway 16," he said.

Also, Entergy has a mobile customer information center open at 202 E. Oak St., Amite, today until 4 p.m.
