Ponchatoula City Councilwoman Roslyn MacKay Batiste was joined by Mayor and Mrs. Bob Zabbia in welcoming Ms. Batiste’s great-nephew, Trevonte Rhodes, back home to Ponchatoula for a community event Saturday organized by Ms. Batiste.

Rhodes co-stars with Andra Day in “The United States vs. Billie Holliday” currently streaming on Neflix and he will be filming the Mike Tyson biopic next month in New Orleans.

“Not only did Day of Hope give out free hot meals and cleaning supplies but also invited Southern University Agriculture Research & Extension Center to offer tours,” Mayor Zabbia said. “Their director William Augustine was full of advice about opportunities.”
