Hammond Rotary Club has cancelled the 62nd Christmas Parade due to the pandemic, but plans are still on for the Movie Night Under the Stars on Nov. 28 in a "drive in" format this year.

John Poteet, owner of Louisiana’s 1st Choice Auto Auction, has graciously offered his parking lot for the premier of "Jack Frost," Rotary announced. In past years, Movie Night has been held at Cate Square.

The club will have its usual concession stand serving hot cocoa, hamburgers, popcorn and many other snacks. The parking area will open at 4 p.m. and the movie will begin at 6 p.m. Admission will be free, but spots will be limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Rotary thanks The Caffeinated Realtor, Amanda Bennett and PJ’s on Railroad for sponsoring this annual event.
