Autopsy results have confirmed the body found on Skinner Road near Albany is that of Deranisha Williams, a Hammond woman missing since Labor Day weekend, Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard said on Wednesday.

Livingston Parish officials were notified by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office on Oct. 2 about a possible crime on Skinner Road.

“They told us they received a call from a distressed male,” Ard said Oct. 2. “During this call, the male confesses to a crime. He claims to have murdered an acquaintance. He then details a possible crime scene at his home. His home ends up being located in Livingston Parish on the 30,000 stretch of Skinner Lane in Albany. We, along with TPSO, responded to Skinner Road today. The male was deceased of what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.”

The suspect, Randolf Skinner Sr., was wanted by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office for obstruction of justice related to Williams’ disappearance before he reportedly was discovered dead by detectives.
