Bank Stabilization



Sealed Bids for the construction of “Bank Stabilization [FY2021] for Consolidated Gravity Drainage District No. 1 of Tangipahoa Parish” will be received by the President & Board of Commissioners of Consolidated Gravity Drainage District No. 1 of Tangipahoa Parish at the Consolidated Gravity Drainage District #1 district office Meeting Room, 48571 Highway 51 North; Tickfaw, LA 70466, until 10:00 a.m. (CST) Thursday, April 8, 2021, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of:

Bank stabilization of Arnolds Creek (W2-L2) drainage canal at the following locations: 1) north of C.M. Fagan Drive (approximately 330± LF) and 2) north of West Club DeLuxe Road (approximately 280± LF). The bank stabilization will include, but not limited to, the following: mobilization, clearing & grubbing, unclassified excavation (net section), preparation of channel side slopes, haul-in/grade/compact backfill (veh. meas.), haul-in/grade limestone (55#, 24” thk. including footing), miscellaneous sitework and canal access; and related work as called for on the drawings, indicated on the Bid Form, or reasonably implied.

270 calendar days

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form.

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is:

Spangler Engineering, LLC; 214 Southwest Railroad Avenue; Hammond, LA 70403; (985) 542-8665; Jay C. Pittman, P.E.; Prospective Bidders shall obtain Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office between the hours of 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (Monday-Thursday), and 8:00 am – 12 noon (Friday), and may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office as described herein.

Bidding Documents may also be examined at the Office of the District Administrator, Consolidated Gravity District No. 1 of Tangipahoa Parish; 48571 Highway 51 North; Tickfaw, LA 70466.

Printed copies of the Bidding Documents shall be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above upon payment of a deposit of $100.00 for each set. Bidders who return full sets of the Bidding Documents in good condition (suitable for re-use) within ten (10) days after receipt of Bids will receive a full refund ($100.00). Non-Bidders will receive a refund of $50.00 for documents returned in good condition within the time limit indicated above. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to “Spangler Engineering, LLC”. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 am (CST) on Thursday, April 1, 2021, at the CGDD1 District Office Meeting Room; 48571 Hwy. 51N; Tickfaw, LA 70466. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
