The St. Thomas Aquinas baseball program has seen a great deal of success in the past few years and they have been fortunate to send players on to the next level.
One of those players is Champ Artigues, who signed to Louisiana Tech Wednesday morning in a signing celebration with six other Falcon athletes.
Artigues garnered interest from Louisana Tech when he went to play in a tournament in Texas and after communicating with some of the coaches, he committed in early July.
"I just like the way they run their program," said Artigues. "It's fast-paced and high-energy. I just feel that I fit their system better than anything else."
Artigues was a part of St. Thomas' first baseball state championship and he said that is one of his proudest moments as a Falcon. He will finish his senior year with the team this spring before he heads to Ruston.
